GIS-based assessment and analysis of property and land use changes in the crossborder region between Hungary and Austria
Abstract
The objectives of the project ELNA II are like already in the previous project ELNA the collection and assessment of cadastral and land registration data for analysing changes of land use and ownership structures in the common border region of Austria and Hungary. The investigations extend to a period of more than 100 years. Already existing results are supplemented by expansion of the investigation areas and comparative analyses within the two countries. From the results of the investigations some modification samples as a function of external influences are to be derived. Based on these samples possible scenarios of a future rural development can be drawn up. Finally the results of both border regions are visualized by suitable dynamic presentation methods.
