Entwicklung eines innovativen Verfahrens zur Sanierung schwermetallkontaminierter Böden mit Hilfe von Pflanzen (Salix sp.)
Abstract
Phytoextraction with willows, an innovative method for low-cost, environmentally-friendly remediation of metal-polluted soil will be further developed in this project. Three willow species (Salix caprea, Salix fragilis und Salix rubens) are grown on two cadmium contaminated soils to evaluate their metal accumulation potential. In addition, effects of microbial inoculation with mycorrhizal associations and bacteria on metal uptake in willows will be tested. The results of the project will contribute to the optimisation of phytoextraction technology and marketability.
