Increasing the accuracy of the interpretation of satellite images applied for illicit crop monitoring
Abstract
The project is based on a long-term collaboration between the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime * Illicit Crop Monitoring Programme (ICMP) and the Institute of Surveying, Remote Sensing and Land Information (IVFL). The sub-projects comprise consulting for the accuracy assessment of existing illicit crop monitoring activities in the Andean region (South America), development of a methodology for the automation of the interpretation process of remotely sensed images and the development of a toolkit for the training of interpreters.
