Abstract
A vulnerability assessment for selected stand types of the Austrian federal forests under conditions of climatic change is conducted. Several transient climate change scenarios will be assessed. Based on the results of this assessment adaptive management strategies for vulnerable ecosystems are developed and compared with regard to relevant indicators.
