Abstract
In 2008 and 2009 in two field trials at Baden bei Wien and Tulln possible alternatives to the use of synthetic pesticides in roses in public green are investigated. Particularly the control of plant diseases such as black rot of rose, rose rust and powdery mildew of rose and of aphid pest species are examined. For each rose variety a standard variant (commonly used pesticide), various alternative treatments and an untreated control are tested.
