Abstract
The Austrian UV-B Network was established in 1996 by the Federal Department of Environment and is operated by the Division of Medical Physics of the Innsbruck Medical University. Erythemally effective UV-B radiation is measured in intervals of 10 minutes at eleven sites representatively distributed over Austria. Additional data are contributed by three German and Swiss sites. As soon as they become available, the most recently measured values are made publicly available at www.uv-index.at and in the ORF-Teletext on page 644. BOKU-Met's objective target is the continuation of continuous UV-B measurements utilizing one Robertson-Berger-Biometer at each of the measurement sites Hoher Sonnblick and Groß-Enzersdorf.
