Surface characterization of mountain wood
Abstract
Mountain wood - Forest without borders The project is fund by the INTEREG IV Italien - Österreich funding program. The analysed area is situated in Souttyrol respectively Northtyrol, were the taken spruce round wood is from. The test parameters are the altitude of the trees, the exposition to the north and to the south and the quality of wood. The parts, which are realised at the BOKU, are about the surface characterization of the mountain wood and include the hardness (Brinell), the throatiness and the measurement of the contact angle and the colour. Aim of the project is to detect differences within the samplegroups and to state a demarcation of lowland spruces.
