Adaptability of winter pea and winter faba bean as alternative grain legumes for the pannonian area
Abstract
Winter grain legumes use a longer vegetation period. Consequently, they may be advantageous in dry spring climates such as in the Pannonian basin, due to earliness in development. The objective of the project ist to assess the suitability of winter pea and winter faba bean for the Pannonian region with view to winter hardiness, yield and N fixation.
