Abstract

IRUB, especially Prof. Stoeglehner has led the research project “PlanVision – Visions for energy optimized spatial planning” which is an important basis for the ÖREK-implementation partnership “integrated spatial and energy planning”, and further research projects related to this field. Aim of this project is to support the ÖREK implementation partnership with the gained knowledge during its two year working period with expertise, inputs and reflection. This project shall contribute to the implementation of the Austrian Spatial Development Concept (ÖREK 2011) and is a contribution of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment & Water Management to the respective ÖREK implementation partnership.
