Nowadays electrical vehicles are discussed as alternative for diesel vehicles even in agriculture. The manufacturers are searching for solutions or even already offer them. If the electrical vehicles can be used mainly depends on the installed technique and on the storage capacity of the batteries. The present work deals with the aspect of what degree of electrification is possible with today's state of the art in Weinviertler agriculture. For that, the needed amount of energy of a diesel-powered vehicle for every step of work during the year is determined. This is transferred into the necessary amount of electrical energy of battery powered vehicles with the help of efficiency chains. The model farm in Weinviertel with 48 ha cultivates wheat, barley, corn sugar beet and potatoes. For the majority of the workload a 102-kW tractor is used, which should be replaced by an electrical alternative. The main findings of this master thesis are: The working steps during the year can be split up in three groups. Care measures and transport are working steps that can already be electrified easily nowadays. Further improvements are needed to electrify the process of harvesting concerning the technique of the battery or the harvesting technique itself. Tillage and sawing offer the greatest potential for electrification. Electrifying these tasks would have a huge impact on the energy needs of an agricultural business in Weinviertel. Based on the used model calculation, the electrification of the vehicles in conjunction with little loss of user friendliness can help to save up to 34% of energy over the whole year.
