Retention of surface water on rural roads

The drainage of country roads currently takes place mainly via the banquet in trenches. These trenches have various disadvantages, such as difficult maintenance and care, danger in the event of an accident, rapidly decreasing infiltration performance. The aim of the research project is to analyze innovative alternatives to trenches. The implementation of this research project serves to expand the core competencies of BOKU Vienna or IBLB and SIG in the area of living environment and landscape and water-atmosphere-environment.
