Abstract
The project “Knowledge Centre for Organic Agriculture in Africa”, follows the objective to successfully introduce knowledge hubs as an innovative strategy for the promotion of organic agriculture in West, Eastern, North, Southern and Central Africa. The project addresses key issues for the promotion of a transformation towards organic agriculture and a sustainable food system. Validating and disseminating knowledge and strengthening the networks of relevant actors empowers current initiatives, broadens the recognition of the transformation and unifies stakeholders under common interests.
As part of the KCOA project, a feasibility study for transdisciplinary trainings will be conducted. Transdisciplinary trainings can create valuable linkages between actors at different levels and disciplines and can thereby contribute to a long-term investment in training of multipliers an in creating a enabling environment.
