Automated Fast Bacterial Detection in Water for Quality and Process Control
Abstract
The project involves the improvement of spectrometer prototypes for the enzyme-based detection of E.coli in surface waters and other process control steps within water disinfection. The on-site applicability of the prototype will be tested through integration into an online monitoring station. Flowcytometric data will be assessed and compared with enzymatic detections. Chemical parameters relevant for microbial characterisation of water quality will be combined with on-site sensor data.
