Abstract
The curriculum of the international Master's programme "Agriculture, Climate Change and Transitions" contains two compulsory summer courses hosted by BOKU. The first course takes place before the beginning of the first semester and is titled "Joint Orientation Weeks". This summer school, where also representatives from the international partner universities are present, introduces the students to the contents of the programme and to some basics in meteorology and the climate system. The second summer school takes place before the third semester and is organised as "Research Methodology Workshop" aimed at equipping the students with the tools necessary for their master thesis. The topics covered in this course are climate change, climate models and mitigation and adaptation strategies in context of agriculture.
