Abstract
The increase of desired ingredients in the basic feed is an essential goal in grasland management. Grass species and especially legumes are the main species providing protein to animals. Knowledge of the interrelationships of the forage quality and efficient N-use in animals are the prerequisites for targeted variety breeding.
