Cutting Optimization of semi-finished products
Abstract
Multi-level cutting optimization is a relevant planning task in the production of packaging elements. In this project, an integrated planning approach is designed that minimizes the number and dimension of semi-finished widths for a number of pre-products from the point of view of the trim loss produced. The overall aim is to achieve a reduced material usage of the starting materials. For the solution a corresponding approach based on mathematical programming and metaheuristics will be developed and validated on the basis of actual customer data.
