Development and deployment of innovative sensors with drones for unmanned snow cover measurements phase 2 - improvement and validation of the measurements in the field

This project includes the development and deployment of sensors using UAV/UAS for contactless recording of snow data. With this method the temperature, humidity, pressure, movement, and flow of forces in avalanche slopes can be measured without interference. The sensors are deployed in a test field in open terrain using UAV/UAS. The sensor network consists of several sensor measuring boxes. Regular data collection takes place via a mobile base station which is stationary or mobile on the UAV.
