Stubnerkogel-Unterhang - a regional planning concept.
Abstract
Since the event of a mudflow in 1971 the Stubnerkogel near Badgastein, which is a highly developed skiing resort, has become a field of activity of the WLV. In the context of a general project a watershed management project will be realised in addition to technical constructions. Beside the silvicultural concept, geological and hydrological investigations (related to the slope-water balance) are forming the main focus of the project. Already existing maps will be completed by our own ones. In the following year after the mudflow event the sources in the working area have been examined in order to get information about the slope water balance. The mapping results have been analysed by a GIS and got set for printing. Areas with a great danger of natural hazards and scheduled watershed management measures become visible by analysing with the GIS.
