Aims: Development of stand specific, sivicultural treatment programme for a sustainable ecological stabilization of damaged, secondary stands of Pinus nigra Arn. Ecological and economic evaluation of restoration measures. Method: Establishment of investigation plots in the dominant, characteristical stand types (reforestation and advance planting of deciduous trees, natural regeneration), analysis of stand and regeneration dynamics, site types classification, forest vegetation classification, evaluation of different silvicultural techniques
