Impact of different contents of vitamins in diets for broilers on growth and slaughter performance
Abstract
The levels of vitamins in broiler diets increased in the last 20 years continously. Are this high levels of vitamins necessary or only luxury consumption. In the present trail with broilers 4 diets (FG) with different amounts of vitamin concentrate was investigated. To the starter feed of FG1, 2, 3 and 4 24, 18, 12 and 6 g and to the grower feed 20, 15, 10 and 5 g vitamin concentrate/100 kg diet were added. All other nutrients in the diets were equal. The trial with was carried out at poultry trail station, Aeussere Wimitz 3, A-9311 Kraig, with 275 broiler chicks. At the end of the growing period on day 37 the weight of the broilers of FG1, 2, 3 and 4 was 2070, 1986, 2063 and 1937 g and the feed conversion rate 1,75, 1,78, 1,75 and 1,77, respectively.
