Immunologische und histologische Wirkung von Gewürz-Ölen
Abstract
The present study uses weaned piglets as an animal model for possible effects of spice oils on aspects of “intestinal health”. The animals receive the following registered and permitted feed additives: [a] none (negative control), [b] spice oils (test group), [c] nutritive antibiotics [positive control]. After 4 weeks of different feeding the animals will be regularly slaughtered and tissues will be retrieved (intestine, immunologically active tissues, other organs) and submitted to the following groups of analyses: mRNA expression levels of immunologically relevant factors, T lymphocytes and leucocyte subpopulations, morphology of different cell types of the intestine.
