Abstract
Aim of the project is to improve the production of stone fruits (cherries, plums and peaches) in Eastern Austria for the fresh market and for processing. The following will be carried out using practical and scientific methods: Growing conditions of stone fruit Shape pruning Rootstock Time of pruning (green, summer and winter pruning) Flower formation an development (quality of blossoms) Thinning methods (mechanical and chemical) Fruit examination (size and colour) Determination of inner fruit quality Storage conditions
