JPI CLIMATE CSA – Joint Programming Initiative Connecting Climate Knowledge for Europe – Coordination and Support Action
Abstract
The aim of this Coordination and Support Action (CSA) is to support the development of the Joint Programming Initiative ‘Connecting Climate Knowledge for Europe’ (JPI Climate) into a viable, mature and sustained joint research effort. The JPI Climate CSA will be integrated within the JPI and will enable the JPI Climate to realize its goals of achieving a competitive advantage for Europe by improving the knowledge base for climate action, informing ongoing international negotiations and enhancing decision-making capacities on various levels with regards to climate change. The JPI Climate will contribute to the overall EU objective of building the European Research Area through enhanced cooperation and coordination of national research programmes. This will be done through the development of long-term activities based on an agreed governance and management structure of the JPI Climate. JPI Climate partners are committed to delivering the aims of the joint initiative by pooling resources to implement joint activities.
