Abstract: Based on preceded case studies, methodologies for diagnosis and evaluation of the multifactorial, local stress constellation, causing decline of forest ecosystems rich with Norway spruce, are developed. These shall be part of a tool, suitable for finding concepts of forest ecosystem restoration, adjusted due to the local situation. The aim is to transfer theoretical knowledge to practical forest management. This is also an interdisciplinary project, related to the project part 'Co-ordination', with several participating research groups. In addition to the co-ordination of this project, aspects of environmental and biological stress factors, as well as the central integrative management of information, are main objectives.
