- Abstract
- FFoQSI´s BLUE AREA encompasses activities that deal with technologies of potential use in any food category. The BLUE AREA comprises three projects (P3.1 – P3.3) and consumes a total research budget of appr. 5.5 million Euro. As regards content, multiple bonds connect this Area with the Preharvest Area 1 and the Postharvest Area 2. AREA 3 is composed of two company driven projects
P3.1. Sustainable Food Technology and Packaging, P3.2.: Advanced Mycotoxin Control and Mitigation and a so-called P3.3. Strategic Project Blue Sky Innovation. Within this Innovation Platform FFoQSI runs activities that develop and push novel technologies to improve food fraud mitigation and quality and risk assessment approaches. Most AREA 3 activities operate as “strategic” projects with expenses being reimbursed from the matching funds.
