Abstract
Numerical simulation models are an essential tool for engineering hazard assessment of debris flows. However, input parameters are often not available. This project aims for evaluation of realistic input parameters for the simulation model Flo2d for different alpine watersheds. This will be carried out by a combination of laboratory investigations and back-calculation of past events. The project will contribute to an improved debris flow hazard assessment.
