Ethohydraulic tests on the electrified inlet screen of the Gösgen NPP
Abstract
Bar screens in intake structures are also intended to protect fish, the effect of which depends, among other things, on the bar spacing. The barrier function is to be improved by the targeted induction of a homogeneous electric field. In the present project, this possible barrier effect of different electric fields is investigated on young fish stages of barbel and roach, taking into account different bar spacings. These observational experiments will be carried out in Lunz am See at the HyTEC test facility of the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences using suitable underwater cameras.
