Determination of essential amino acids and biogenic amines using HPLC

Abstract
The quantitative determination of essential amino acids and biogenic amines in foods using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and ultra-high performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) is to be established at the Food Chemistry Division of the Department of Food Science and Technology at BOKU – University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences. These analytical tools will be available to the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber for the purpose of the quality assurance of animal and plant foods (e.g., dairy products, meat and fish products, cereal products, wine) and feedstuffs.
